How Many Ovulation Tests Do I Need?
The number of ovulation tests needed to detect a positive result each month, will vary depending on the users cycle regularity and how accurately they are able to determine when to start testing. We recommend using our Ovulation Calculator to determine the best day to begin testing each month. Assuming a user goes through two tests a day, most people should be able to detect ovulation within 5 days from when they begin testing. So on average 10 tests per cycle. That said, this number can vary widely from user to user, which is why we offer different size formats for the boxes.

What is ovulation and why is it important?
Ovulation is when a mature egg from your ovary is released into your fallopian tube, and is available for fertilization by sperm. For a healthy woman during her reproductive years, one egg will mature and be released by one of the ovaries approximately every month. It is important to be aware of ovulation because this is when a woman is most fertile and has the highest probability of conceiving. Note: Because sperm can live inside a woman’s body for up to five days, if intercourse occurs three or four days before ovulation there is still a chance that the egg may get fertilized.

How do ovulation tests work?
Ovry Ovulation Test Strips work by detecting the presence of the ovulation hormone, called luteinizing hormone (LH). Levels of LH surge when the mature egg reaches its final stage of development indicating that the egg will soon be released from the fallopian tube (i.e. ovulation). Since women are most fertile the day before, and the first day of ovulation, a positive result with an Ovry Ovulation Test Strip indicates that an LH surge was detected and that for most women, the greatest likelihood of conception will occur throughout the next 48 hours.

These strips work super well. It's always easily to see the gradual increase and decrease in my LH through the colours of the strips! And I appreciate that they are fast so I'm not spending tons of time waiting for them to show me my results like some of the electronic tests like clear blue. I also like that they come in large box sizes.
I’ve always had irregular periods so it was a little disheartening when trying to get pregnant and figure out my ovulation window. Thankfully just a few days after expected I got the positive test. Would highly recommend for anyone anxious like me!

I haven't been able to get a positive ovulation test strip yet, but the 4 early pregnancy tests included in the box did come in handy this month when my period was late. I was negative, but it gave me peace of mind to be able to test. Giving 3 stars because I haven't actually gotten any positive tests (pregnancy or ovulation) so it's hard to give a better review atm.

These work SO WELL! I used these for both my pregnancies (to help conceive) and they were easy to use and very clearly positive when I reached my peak. Now using them 4 months postpartum to track my cycle because my period hasn’t returned and I do NOT want to get pregnant yet. I take a test every couple days to make sure I’m not nearing ovulation. These are honestly the best. Couldn’t recommend more.

INCREDIBLE. These helped me get pregnant with my first. I’m now 2 months postpartum and I take a test every day because it would be very dangerous for me to get pregnant right away because of my c-section, but I don’t want to go on birth control because we will be starting to try again soon once cleared by the doctor. These tests are so easy to use.
I highly recommend these strips! I love that they are small and save on all the extra unnessisary plastic. They are very accurate in their results and are super easy to use. I tell all my friends about these and love that they are made in Canada.
Elated to report that these worked with the first try, as you can see! At first I was like, “am I doin this right?” I think I started testing a little too early which then lead me to be disheartened (not seeing a positive). I almost gave up then saw a dark line. If you have to think about it, it’s probably not it. Once you see the extremely dark line, you’ll know! For some reason this specific cycle was extra long leading up to my period on March 12th, leading me to ovulate quite late as well. Thank goodness I kept track with these, otherwise I surely wouldn’t have known. Now I have a positive HCG test!! Thank you OVRY :)
